Tribute to former CINSF Chairman Mr John Kenning

The Board of Directors, jk-imageManagement, and Staff of the Cook Islands National Superannuation Fund will like to pay tribute to Mr John Kenning (JK) former Chairman of the CINSF Board.
John was appointed to the CINSF Board as the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce representative on 7 July 2005. He was then elected Chairman of the Board in February 2007, a position he held for 6 years, before standing down in December 2013.
John lead the Fund through some of its most challenging years with the migration of the private sector into the Fund, the Global Financial Crisis, and the initial challenge to the CINSFs constitutionality. Through all of this the Fund not only recovered, but has gone from strength to strength providing significant benefits to Cook Islanders and building security for them in retirement.
Most recently the decision in favor of the Cook Islands Government to find the CINSF is constitutional is a reward to his dedication to being bold, making the hard decisions, and providing for a better tomorrow.
We are only sad that you are not here to celebrate this success with us.
To Maara, your children, grandchildren, and extended families our prayers and thoughts are with you all as we bid farewell to an amazing man that we all feel privileged to have known.
Rest in Peace JK
