Planning for your future just got easier.
We’re excited to launch the CINSF Retirement & Pension Estimator Tool, a free, easy-to-use online resource designed to help our members better understand what their retirement could look like. Whether you’re just getting started with your contributions or are already several years into your career, this tool gives you a personalised snapshot of your future superannuation.
Why We Created the Tool
The CINSF team regularly conduct public presentations to new and existing members around the country. During these sessions, they noticed several common questions arise from members surrounding their retirement planning, such as how much their balance will be, how much they can expect for their pension, and how to safeguard their future.
This tool was created in direct response to feedback from our members, as well as ongoing work around improving transparency and equipping our members with the best resources to make informed decisions about their retirement.
How It Works
The Retirement Estimator is simple to use and intuitive. All you need to do is input a few key details:
- Your starting balance
- Your current age
- The age you plan to retire
- Your current annual earnings
- The CINSF savings rate (10%)
- Your investment option
Based on this information, the tool will generate two key insights:
- An estimated balance at retirement
- A monthly pension projection
These estimates are tailored to you and can be adjusted if your circumstances change, making it a valuable tool to revisit over time.
Why It Matters
Having a clearer picture of your retirement outcome can help you plan more effectively now. You might discover you want to alter your investment option, open a voluntary account or increase your contributions, change your retirement age, or simply feel more reassured knowing you’re on track.
Where to Find It
The tool is now live and available at www.cinsf.com/member-investments/retirement-pension-estimate
