Engaging with Members Across the Northern Group Islands

Over the past two weeks, the Cook Islands National Superannuation Fund team undertook a consultation trip across the Northern Group Islands, reconnecting with our members in Tongareva, Manihiki, and Pukapuka. Each year, the CINSF team alternates consultation trips between the Southern Group and Northern Group islands, ensuring that all members regardless of location, have access to updates, services, and direct engagement with our team.

We gained valuable insights from conducting a total of 5 presentations in the Northern Group – including a special presentation to the teachers of Niua School in Pukapuka after a direct request from the teaching staff. Members expressed strong interest in areas such as investment switches, voluntary contributions, and account access.

By meeting face-to-face with members, we’re able to better understand each communities needs, explain key updates firsthand, and ensure our services evolve in alignment with the expectations and realities of our people across the Cook Islands.

A big Meitaki Ma‘ata and Atawai Wolo to the communities who welcomed us so warmly, shared their time and thoughts, and provided thoughtful feedback that will shape our next steps.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to complete scheduled visits to Nassau and Rakahanga. While our intention was to reach every island in the group, safety and logistics meant our plans had to adapt.

We remain committed to returning in the future and continuing our efforts to connect with members across the Cook Islands. If you weren’t able to attend a session and have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. Your voice matters, and we are here to help.
